Home Federal Foundation

Thank you for your interest in the Home Federal Foundation. The Foundation was created in 2004 by Home Federal Bancorp, Inc., the holding company of Home Federal Bank, to support charitable causes in the markets served by Home Federal Bancorp and its subsidiaries. Through the end of 2009, the Foundation has distributed over $500,000 in grants to worthy organizations and programs.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Home Federal Foundation is to make a positive difference in the communities in which Home Federal Bancorp and its subsidiaries do business, by providing monetary grants to organizations focused on:

  • Improving the quality of life for families and individuals;
  • Providing educational opportunities for children and adults; and
  • Building the infrastructure of the community through capital campaigns and economic development projects.

Guidelines for Foundation Grants:

  • Grants are made only to those organizations whose programs benefit residents of the Treasure Valley region of southwestern Idaho including Ada, Canyon, Elmore and Gem counties; and the Tri-County region of central Oregon including Crook Deschutes, and Jefferson counties.
  • Grants are made only to approved 501(c)(3) or other qualified not-for-profit entities.
  • Priority will be given to those organizations that have a customer relationship with Home Federal Bank.
  • Priority will be given to those organizations with a Home Federal Bank employee in a volunteer leadership position with the organization.
  • Agencies who have received funding for three consecutive years may be asked to skip one year before applying again.
