Summary:

As the Mortgage Banking Manager, you will be responsible for leading the mortgage sales team to meet or exceed production goals, for managing the Mortgage Operations, and to improve the revenue contribution of the mortgage lending line of business. In this role you will develop, implement, and manage the mortgage lending sales strategies and marketing approaches based on internal and external forecasts and market trends to meet or exceed established sales goals. Incumbent will keep informed regarding residential mortgage products and trends in the local real estate market, and work closely with Mortgage Operations and Secondary Marketing to incorporate them into the residential mortgage sales program.

Develops and fosters industry relations including, but not limited to homebuilders, real estate professionals, industry and market stakeholders and lenders, and other business development contacts. Develops a comprehensive and consistent plan to recruit and retain high performance mortgage sales personnel. The position of Mortgage Banking Manager is responsible for the supervision of staff of 10 to 15 people and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Home Federal Bank's policies and applicable laws, ensuring adherence to EEO guidelines.

Incumbent will maintain a working knowledge of all laws and regulations to ensure that all job accountabilities performed are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of three years mortgage lending sales management experience. Leadership skills and successful record of hiring or leading experienced sales staff. Well known in mortgage industry. Will have expertise in mortgage products and services as well as regulatory guidelines. Ability to acquire, manage, and communicate changing product information for all mortgage products. Excellent problem-solving skills to identify client needs and resolve problems. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively convey goals and initiatives to staff and management. Ability to inform, educate, and influence team members to support corporate goals and objectives. Excellent PC skills, including word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, Internet, and internal bank software.
