The Systems Analyst / Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the business units obtain the required and appropriate type of information, tools and solutions in support of the unit's strategic business goals and objectives. The group acts as an internal consultant, partnering with bank management to deliver on business objectives, with the expectation that the incumbent is involved from project definition through to full project delivery and implementation. The Systems Analyst / Project Manager is responsible for defining the business requirements, conducting detailed analysis, leading solution design, developing processes to parallel overall business strategies, ensuring that technology is effectively leveraged, and acting as a liaison between the business project sponsors, information technology, vendors and functional areas. This position is both a leadership and a hands-on analyst role. The projects and initiatives that the Systems Analyst / Project Manager is associated with are acknowledged to be of strategic importance to the Bank. The incumbent will work with minimal supervision on product development, system integration, application support, vendor management, and managing cross-functional projects, and business analytics.

• Partners with assigned business areas to understand and prioritize information needs, develop systems of controls and risk mitigation, develop procedures/processes and translate business requirements into systems solutions. This position will work with all areas of the business including, but not limited to, Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Mortgage Operations, Credit Management, Risk Management, Operations Management, and Bank Administration.
• Partners with the business to document business requirements, prepare business case, and design appropriate financial systems which will provide solid foundation for reliable application programs and processes.
• Manages application deployments through cross-team efforts; drives improvements into the financial processes adhering to the System Development Life Cycle methodology.
• Drives trade-off decisions between cross-functional business units to arrive at a consensus that aligns with strategic objectives.
• Prepares, maintains, and communicates project status and project financial reporting to executive and senior management on a continuing basis.
• Manages vendor accountability for product functionality. Documents application issues, design improvements, and new system requirements for submission to vendors for product enhancement. Ensures vendor meets contractual requirements and manages the delivery of solutions to ensure business needs are met and solutions are integrated.
• Engages the business units to collect and translate end user data and report requirements in order to design financial metrics, dashboards, and multi-dimensional reports.
• Conduct analysis of subsequent enhancements to systems. Manages banking systems applications including developing and managing upgrades and patches.
• Responsible for understanding the abilities, features and capabilities of the appropriate banking applications that impact the assigned business unit operations. Responsible for recommending and implementing cost avoidance and revenue enhancement and efficiency improvements to financial systems.

Education and/or Experience:

Incumbent will have Bachelor degree in business, information technology, finance or accounting; must have a minimum of two years working in a banking environment with extensive knowledge of core lending and deposit systems and two to five years experience in a quantitative or analytical role including proven application of the system development life cycle methodology; proven experience leading project implementation teams including directing and ensuring that technical, systems and human resources are effective in meeting project goals; proven experience and exposure to various technologies is highly desirable such as .NET, JAVA, Web Services, Data Warehousing, Oracle, etc. proficiency in reporting tools and proven experience developing reports and queries including Crystal reports, and other ad-hoc tools; proficiency in MS Word, Excel Access, Project and PowerPoint;
