Position Requirements:

The Branch Manager will provide leadership to a group of Retail Banking employees in the Boise area. The successful incumbent will:

• Engage in business/customer development activities and solicitation of new business/customer prospects, including assigned individual prospecting and outside sales goals.
• Develop and maintain an aggressive sales culture with their location by managing, monitoring, and coaching staff in effective cross-selling, customer service and sales techniques.
• Keep informed on current market trends, key competitors, new products and services, and recognizes/identifies areas of opportunity presented by changes and shifts in the marketplace.
• Proactively prospect and call on potential small business customers to acquire and retain profitable small business deposit and credit relationships.
• Provide supervision and support to all areas of the department where service or assistance is needed; oversees activities of department staff; ensures various department activities or projects run smoothly and efficiently.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the bank's policies and applicable laws, ensuring adherence to EEO guidelines.
• Play a major role in the development and growth of retail branch employees through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong delegation skills assuring a highly cross-trained staff.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and developing a highly motivated and effective team of sales associates and customer service associates.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all laws and regulations related to the job, to ensure all duties and tasks performed are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the overall profitability; implements cost controls, income generation, and bank marketing efforts; monitors expenses to ensure compliance with budget.
• Assist the Retail Banking Team in the development and implementation of financial plans, sales goals and budgets that support the sales and service objectives for the branch.
• Actively represent the banking community events and volunteer non-profit organizations.

Education and/or Experience:

The ideal candidate should have an Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent two-year college or technical school; or two to five years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of branch operations with a supervisory background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be applicable to the financial industry. Two to five years of marketing and business development experience with ability to cross-sell and explain all operation products and services with confidence and authority.

Knowledge of bank operational policies and procedures, products and services including processing adept credit skills; related state and federal banking compliance regulations, human resource, labor laws and policies.
