Eugene, OR—R. Shane Correa, Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer at Home Federal Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Bank’s senior leadership team for its Western Oregon region.
Mark C. Johnson has been hired as President, Western Oregon region. Operating from Eugene, Johnson is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for the entire Western Oregon region, which covers the Bank’s ten offices throughout Eugene, Grants Pass, Medford, Portland and Springfield.
"We are extremely excited to have Mark as a member of our senior leadership team," stated Correa. "Mark brings a wealth of commercial banking and treasury management experience to our team. As we continue to grow our Western Oregon region, his ability to build customer-oriented, high-performance teams will be invaluable to our long term success."
A veteran banker with more than 30 years of experience in Oregon, Johnson most recently served as Senior Vice President and Regional Commercial Banking Director at Sterling Savings Bank. He also worked at Wells Fargo Bank and US Bank in various production and leadership positions. Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree in business from Western State College of Colorado, and is active in the local community including the Eugene Chamber of Commerce Finance Committee and various track & field-related organizations and activities. In addition, he has actively supported Junior Achievement of Western Oregon, the National Kidney Foundation of Oregon and Washington, and served as a founding director of Emerald Valley Youth Track Club.
Connie A. Hedberg has been named Senior Vice President and Retail Market Manager for the Bank’s Western Oregon region and will also operate from Eugene. In her role, she will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, oversight and development for the branch network throughout Western Oregon, which currently includes ten offices in Eugene, Grants Pass, Medford, Portland and Springfield. As the Bank pursues its expansion strategy in Western Oregon, Hedberg’s experience in branch site selection and development will be a valuable asset for the Bank, its clients and the communities served.

"A veteran banking executive, she has led teams of bankers to address the needs of personal and business clients throughout these challenging economic times."
Hedberg has more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry and previously served as Executive Vice President of Relationship Banking for LibertyBank. She currently serves on the United Way of Lane County board of directors and most recently served as co-chair for the Lane Community College Foundation’s Harvest Dinner. In addition, she has served on the Eugene/Springfield Housing Development Affordable Housing Allocations Subcommittee and on the board for the Eugene Ballet, Junior Achievement, Broad Base Sports Program and others.
